Whether it is greenmail, job targeting, pro-union "responsible" contractor laws passed by political cronies, or corporate campaigns against contractors and construction owners, construction labor unions are not ashamed to utilize questionable tactics to regain lost market share and achieve a monopoly over work in specific construction markets.
Free and open competition is conducive to economic growth and efficient use of limited resources. It is in the public interest, especially when public contracts and tax dollars are concerned, that all qualified and capable contractors and employees are fairly considered and have an opportunity to work and build in their own communities.
